I have been in the mortgage business for more than 20 years. I have had various positions in the mortgage industry as a processor, junior underwriter, closer, collections, and, of course, as a loan officer. There was a time that I was also a realtor. All these positions have given me more knowledge about the mortgage industry and all phases of the loan process.
My job is to be a problem solver, and my past experiences have allowed me to be that. I was raised in two countries, which gave me an opportunity to experience two cultures. Although I was born in the U.S., I went to high school and a year of college in South America. I transferred to Seton Hall University and majored in Economics. As a junior in college, I knew I wanted to get into mortgages. As the oldest child and second oldest cousin of a huge family, I always had the role of advising and protecting my family. This is that same behavior I take to my clients - it is a transaction with lots of decisions to be made, so information and communication are key.
My clients are mostly in Union County and Essex County. In my spare time, I like to run – in fact, this year I ran two half marathons and hope to get to the NY Marathon soon. My family has a fundraiser for needy children in Bolivia, Por La Sonrisa de un Kalawawa, and I have been active with the organization bringing toys to the rural areas of Bolivia for more than 24 years.
