Hawaiian, Portuguese, and Japanese. Born and raised here on O'ahu, and I've lived all over the place: Waianae, Waipahu, Kailua, Kaneohe, Ewa Beach, Mililani, just to name a few. Currently, I live in Downtown Honolulu. Graduated in 2008 from Kamehameha Schools and in 2012 from University of Hawaii at Manoa with a degree in Economics. Straight out of college I started working in the mortgage industry and it has been an amazing journey ever since. It's an amazing career and I'm happy to be able to interact with so many families here in Hawai'i. Through my experience I've learned that the process of purchasing or refinancing a home is such a unique experience that I realize one of my primary responsibilities to my clients is to make sure they understand the various aspects of mortgage lending. Escrow; Points; Addons; Closing Costs; Impounds; Mortgage Insurance; these are all words that you may have already encountered. If you haven't, you will. My job is to make sure that by the end of the process, you have a basic understanding all of those words (and more). The goal is to make sure you're comfortable with the home buying process. Additionally, by incorporating this emphasis on transparency with my borrowers, my clients are often excited to tell their friends and family about the experience. So let's take the confusion out of mortgage lending so you can start focusing on the fun stuff. Like what color pallete you want to paint your house! I never knew how many colors there were in this world until I needed to paint my house, and I'm excited to help you get to that point as well.
