San Francisco Bay Area and Greater Sacramento Area loan officer Kenny Heller is known for his compassionate customer care and fastidious management of all the tiny details that go into buying a home. He’s adept at tailoring financing to fit each individual situation, providing mortgages for a wide range of clients: first-time home buyers, down-sizers, investors, high-net-worth, and ultra-high-net-worth clients, those with complex income and asset situations, and small business owners.
He makes a point of treating everyone with dignity and transparency. Kenny’s people-focused approach has set him apart in the field since his first job as a bank teller in high school. While earning a degree from San Jose State and working his way to management at the bank, Kenny developed a passion for mortgage and lending, beginning a career that incorporates his legal acuity, meticulous attention to detail, and desire to help others. In 2012 he worked as a loan officer for his bank before venturing out on his own later that year. He quickly became an expert resource in the field, assisting colleagues, keeping up-to-date on the rules and regulations that govern the home-buying process, and growing savvy in financing a wide range of property, including new construction/builder, condominium, high-rise, multi-unit, single-family homes, and high-end, multi-million-dollar listings. “It’s a complex job, with a lot of regulations and shifting guidelines to navigate. You must communicate with clients, research properties, and organize all kinds of intricate information. But I like that kind of challenge.”
In 2015 Kenny accepted a position as Home Mortgage Consultant and in 2016 became a Private Mortgage Banking Sales Manager. Now Producing Area Manager at Guaranteed Rate, Kenny oversees multiple teams, assists individual clients and families secure home financing, and assists with recruiting, training, and managing various offices across Northern California. Kenny appreciates the opportunity to help people make some of the biggest decisions of their lives, and his expertise negotiating jumbo, conforming, FHA, and VA financing on a condo, single-family, multi-family, new construction, and TIC financing helps him consistently provide the best possible guidance for his clients. “People trust me with sensitive information and rely on my insight to help them make wise choices with their money. I don’t take that responsibility lightly.”
Beyond work, Kenny’s interests revolve around volunteering, cycling, Orange Theory, skiing, computer gaming, and real estate investment. When he’s not working out at Orange Theory, he’s eating ice cream at home with Stella, the 3-legged “quarantine buddy” he and his partner rescued from a neighborhood shelter.
