I began my lending career in 1977. I started as a bank teller with Wells Fargo and stayed on to learn all I could about mortgages. After I left the bank in 1984, I went in a completely different direction. I became an electro-mechanical draftsperson. Fascinating, but it didn’t pay well. In 1986 I got my real estate license and sold real estate in San Francisco for a little over 3 years. In 1989, I came back into lending—this time on the wholesale side. I joined Real Estate Financial Services (now a branch of Guarantee Mortgage) in 1990 and was the top producer there for nearly all of my tenure with them, which spanned over 15 years. In 2005 I joined First Security Loan at their Sutter Street branch. Following the financial meltdown, First Security elected to close their operations in 2009. I am now with Guaranteed Rate in SOMA. I am a member of the California Association of Mortgage Bankers. I do loans all over California. The transactions I do range from all types of residential loans to TIC’s, to equity lines and commercial apartment building loans.
