Shelly Ave
SVP of Mortgage Lending

Shelly follows the motto “every accomplishment starts with the decision to try.” Achieving homeownership is a mysterious and daunting process to many people. She understands this and is personally aware of the profound impact that home ownership has in our lives. That is her motivation with every client - to help others achieve the same. Shelly has a dedication to offering honest, transparent and thoughtful service. She is an advocate of First Time Homebuyer education and knows that behind every transaction and set of numbers is a person or family trying to improve their life. Shelly is well known for her ability to communicate and partner with all parties in a real estate transaction and to champion the home buyer through the entire process. She grew up in Anderson, Indiana as the middle of three daughters and graduated from Indiana University. It was during her college years when she learned the value of creative problem solving. Every person she works with has very unique circumstances and she understands that this is not a "one size fits all" mortgage world. When she is not "creative problem solving" for her clients, you can find her cheering for the Chicago Cubs, watching college football, running along the lakefront and hosting BBQ's for her family and friends in her backyard. She is also frequently seen taking a stroll on the north side of Chicago with her 2 English mastiffs “Big Ike” and “Boris Von Drool,” 175 lbs. and 225 lbs. respectively(!). If you see them on the street be sure to stop and say hi.
